Tennessee Titans NFL Trade Rumors: Titans Are Open to Trading Fifth Overall Pick

Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson has already proven that he's not afraid of making big moves. Last year, the Titans had the first overall pick of the draft. But instead of using it, they decided that it would be better if the team traded the pick to the Los Angeles Rams. Thanks to that trade the team will have a pair of first-round picks this year. They have their own pick (18th overall) and the Rams' (fifth overall).

Well, they are at it again this season. Robinson spoke to the media at the scouting combine this week and he said they were willing to trade the fifth overall pick. "It's got to be a two-way street, we've got to have somebody that wants to move up to that spot, but like I said last year, we're open for business," he said during the media scrum.

The Titans held all the cards last year and they managed to trade the pick before the draft. The Rams already knew they were going to pick quarterback Jared Goff, so there was no need to wait. However, four other teams will be picking before the Titans this year, so potential trading partners will have to wait and see if the person they are targeting is still on the board.

The Titans may have to wait until they are on the clock before a deal is made, but Robinson said they will discuss likely scenarios with their potential trading partners before that.

"You have those discussions potentially before the actual draft starts. 'If this happens, or if that happens, would you consider doing this?' So you at least have some framework in mind, so when you're under the gun and you have to make a decision, you've been able to think through it a little bit," he said.

Robinson was brilliant last year. Can he get a haul in return again this time?
