Terrell Owens 'Blessed' Amid Despite $250,000 Tax Lien: 'God is Ever So Present,' He Says

Terrell Owens may owe the IRS money, but he insists he is blessed.

Owens, the 40-year-old former NFL star, just paid off a $430,000 tax debt acquired from 2005 to 2009 last year. While he seems to have given up on his NFL dreams, the former professional wide receiver reportedly has a tax lien of nearly $250,000 stemming from 2012.

"According to official docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, the federal government claims Owens is in the hole to the tune of $244,391.52 for unpaid income tax from 2012," TMZ recently reported. "Of course, that was the year Owens signed a deal for a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks ... but was cut after only raking in $4,300. It's unclear where Owens made the rest of his money that year."

Days before the TMZ report surfaced, Owens made it a point to glorify God on Twitter.

"Truly blessed regardless of how bleak or discouraging life can be and/or seem," Owens tweeted. "God is def ever so present & moving in my life rite now."

In recent months, Owens has remained positive amid negative media reports that he has been made the subject of. Rachel Snider, a former Texas postal worker, reportedly married Owens in a secret ceremony earlier this year, according to TMZ.

However, Snider told the publication that she would divorce Owens two weeks after they were married and felt she was used so that he could obtain a $2 million home loan in California. Despite Snider's claims, Owens said he would keep a smile on his face.

"I have to put on a good smile and keep my head up … I can't worry about what everybody else thinks or any allegations," the former NFL star told Hip Hollywood earlier this year.
