Terrell Owens Gets a New Job, Makes Things Right With Children
Terrell Owens may not be back in the NFL just yet, but the star wide receiver just received a new job.
Owens, 38, was named the brand ambassador for Frydaze, a company specializing in customizing covers for technology such as smartphones and tablets. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Daniel Hickman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the company.
"We are excited to be working with a future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest Receivers to ever play the game," Hickman said in a statement. "T.O. has always done things his way and that is what Frydaze is all about. Express yourself….Be yourself."
The news comes on the heels of Owens avoiding jail time, after rumors surfaced about him failing to pay child support. According to the Samelia Miller, the mother of Owens' youngest son, she sees a transformation in the polarizing football star.
"We've all watched the rise and now the fall of my son's father, Terrell Owens. But I believe with the new path Terrell is on he can and will rise again. I see him learning to abandon the arrogance, checking the ego at the door, and watching what comes out his mouth," Miller wrote on her personal blog. "This man wants to do right, work in a profession he has done so well in for years, and show the world he can be not only a great athlete, but also a parent and a man! It won't be easy and there are huge obstacles in the way but I am confident he will overcome them and rise again."
According to to Owens' representative, Diana Bianchini, the footballer has begun to make things right with the mothers of his children.
"Mr. Owens has been working diligently with his attorneys to modify his onerous child support payments so that they are in line with his current income and state guidelines, as well as to establish visitation with his children," Bianchi said in a statement to The Christian Post. "Mr. Owens has successfully modified all of his other child support obligations and is current on all payments."
The wide receiver seemed to be in good spirits when his new endorsement was announced, after re-tweeting a Bible verse about faith.
"In all situations carry the shield of faith. Ephesians 6:16," Owens re-tweeted.
