Terrell Owens was reportedly admitted to an unnamed Southern California hospital after an emergency 911 call was made last week.
According to TMZ, the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver was rushed out of a Los Angeles apartment in which he was staying. Although officials involved have yet to comment on the matter, the news source reported that the now free agent wide receiver has since been released.
The incident happened one day after Owens made a public announcement about his return to football after months of attempting to recover from a knee surgery during the offseason. The wide receiver admitted that his injuries were a major obstacle in his career
Dealing with his rehabilitation he flew to Korea in September to receive cell treatment to aid the process. Owens seems to be willing to lean on his faith when dealing with his return to football with a new contract.
“I'm on God's time,” Owens tweeted last Tuesday. “When he wants me ready then the world will know! God bless.”
Owens was selected in the third round of 1996 NFL Draft by San Francisco 49ers when playing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and in 2004, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Two years later he signed with the Dallas Cowboys and in 2009 he also played for the Buffalo Bills and in 2010 for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Owens is currently a free agent.
