Tesla Model X recent news and updates: First batch to be delivered by September 29

Tesla car lovers cannot wait for the release of the new Tesla Motors' Model X within the next few weeks. As of this time, the new car has already reached almost 27,000 preorders, according to Autoblog's recent post, and is expected to increase after the first batch of preorder is delivered.

More people are putting down their initial deposit to own this CUV from Tesla after it was first revealed in 2012. However, the crossover has met significant delays three years since it was announced, but the company's investors have been reassuring. It was supposed to arrive by the end of 2013, and then in early 2015, but buyers have been patient and still continue to place their preorder.

In Tesla Motor's official website, the new Model X is described to come with seven seats, and to be powered by two electric motors. It will also have "Falcon Wing" doors that make the doors to fold up and out of the way, which will allow parking in narrow spaces, as well as provide easier access to its third row seats.

Autoblog also mentioned that Tesla's "lifetime" average orders is about 24 cars per day, but with the latest Model X coming soon, the orders jumped to over 37 cars per day. This is a pretty impressive record for Tesla since potential Model X buyers have not seen the final version yet.

According to Tesla's chief executive officer, Elon Musk, the first car productions will be handed over to the company's Fremont, California factory. Autoblog said that the Signature Series versions will be handed out first, and it will have optional add-ons, like packages for subzero weather and towing. The price range for the Signature Series is said to be around $132,000 to $144,000, while the standard version is said to be priced at around $90,000.

The first Model X batch is reported to be delivered starting this Sept. 29.
