NASA has released the following satellite images of the Texas wildfires that have damaged over 3.6 million acres of land in Texas since last November.
So far, more than 1,000 homes have been destroyed across Texas and four people have been killed.
Out of the more than 180 wildfires that are reported raging across the state, the hardest hit area is considered to be Bastrop County where more than 600 homes have been destroyed over 45 square miles of land.

The following pictures were taken on Sept. 5 and depict smoke flowing south-bound from Bastrop county toward the Gulf Coast.
