'The 100' News, Update: Michael Beach's Arker Character To Stir Up More Trouble in Season 3
Back in July, it was announced that "Sons of Anarchy" actor Michael Beach would be joining the third season of The CW's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The 100" for the recurring role of an Arker named Pike. Described back then as a "tough and charismatic member of the Ark with a staunch morale code," an interview with one of the show's cast members revealed that Pike is apparently someone that fans "will love to hate."
Cited on the report by Enstarz.com, actor Ricky Whittle said during his appearance at Dragon Con that Pike is a "bit of an antagonist and he's bringing incredible power to a character that is going to tear the screen up."
"He's going to upset a lot of people. Hopefully, in a good way, he's going to upset a lot of you. He's not there to play nice, so look forward to his character. Mike is a great addition," the actor who plays Lincoln said (via Enstars).
Despite this information, it remains to be seen what's really inside Pike's mind. Will his "staunch moral code" prevent the rest of the Arkers from peacefully co-habiting with the Grounders?
Whittle remained mum on this detail however, he went on to express his admiration to Beach who is "a very powerful man" and "incredible" as an actor and that working along with him is apparently a pleasurable experience.
"I think you're really going to love him," Whittle added (via Enstars).
Divulged earlier at the San Diego Comic-Con, the start of Season 3 will feature a bit of a time-jump. The duration should expect to see Clarke (Eliza Taylor), Raven (Lindsey Morgan), Octavia (Maria Avgeropoulos), Bellamy (Bob Morley) and the rest of the gang, already moving forward from the aftermath of the last season's war.
"The 100" Season 3 is slated to premiere midseason of 2016 and will consist of 16 brand new episodes. Stay tuned for more updates.
