'The 100' Season 2 Premiere Date, News: Could Chancellor Jaha Be Still Alive?

One of the most notable scenes in the season finale of The CW's post-apocalyptic teen drama "The 100" was the apparent selfless act of Chancellor Thelonious Jaha (Isaiah Washington) as he decided to go down with the Ark.

Drinking a bottle of liquor which was intended for celebrations, Jaha sat alone, waiting for his imminent death while giving toast for those who made their way out. Fans, who are somewhat left in disbelief are now asking, will this be the end of the leader?

Thankfully, at this summer's San Diego Comic-Con, actor Isaiah Washington spoke with the reporters and attendees about his character's decision to "go down with the ship" while at the same dished out some information on what's in store for the chancellor in Season 2.

"He's not very well up there. A lot of strange things happen when you are dying slowly. You can die slowly for two seasons. You never know," Washington told Buddy TV.

Washington also added that Jaha's remaining time at the ship also gave him the chance to come to terms with his actions as a leader.

"He executed 300 people and then realized that circumstances out of his control, he didn't have to," the 51-year-old actor said. "Chancellor Jaha's fate is gonna be okay. You're going to be okay with it. You'll be in alignment with it. But, his presence is not going away ever."

As for his character's survival, Washington took to his social media to share a snapshot of a person in a space suit.

"Yeah I leaked it...#ChancellorJaha LIVES on @cwthe100," he captioned the photo.

"The 100" will return with its brand new season on Oct. 22 on The CW.
