'The 100' season 3 release date and spoilers: Clarke to join new clan?
"The 100" is not due to come back until next year, but there are already speculations about what will happen to Clarke in season 3.
Showrunner Jason Rothenberg revealed Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) new look in a photo published by Entertainment Weekly. In the photo, Clarke appears to have joined a new clan because of her braided hair and war-painted face, according to Realty Today.
"Sneak peek of Clarke in Season 3. You guys aren't ready. 2016 isn't THAT far away," The Wrap quotes Rothenberg's statement via Twitter, which also included the said photo of Clarke.
There are speculations that Clarke has gone full Grounder, while there are also some who think she has just taken up an undercover mission. In the last season, she left Camp Jaha after Finn (Thomas McDonnell) perished in the sacrifices at Mt. Weather.
Taylor spoke during this year's Comic-Con event to explain that Clarke was unable to stomach what happened at Mt. Weather so she walked away from Camp Jaha. She also gave a little sneak peek into what her character will go through. Clarke will not be able to take Finn's death well and she will be a bit lost, so Bellamy (Bob Morley) will take her place as the new leader, the report relays.
In addition to the revelation about Clarke, the show also announced that The 100 will welcome new cast members for the third season. Brenda Strong will play Queen Nia of the Ice Nation and Michael Beach will play Pike, and devoted Arker. Zach McGown was also reportedly cast as Roan, a rogue Grounder fighter who wants everything to go his way, Hypable reports.
The next season of The 100 will also feature the pregnancy of a yet unconfirmed character, the report adds.
While the exact release date of The 100 season 3 is yet to be announced, it was already confirmed that the series will run 16 episodes.
