'The 100' season 3 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Promo Video Reveals Danger for Clarke, Major Character to Die?

American post-apocalyptic drama series "The 100" is starting to come around and it's just a few more weeks until its return to the small screen for its third season. But even before it could continue with its story following the events of season 2, CW has released a promo video to stir up excitement among fans.

And true enough, fans are hyped as big things are going to happen to the characters of the show. It's also said that season 3 of "The 100" is going to be different from the previous seasons. According to The Wrap, main character Clarke Griffin, played by Eliza Taylor, is going to be in danger because she is "hunted by everyone" after what happened at Mount Weather in the previous season.

The teaser showed Clarke remembering the time when she and Bellamy (Bob Morley) had to make the decision of committing genocide by pulling a lever. They felt they had to do it in order to save their people from the enemy. She left Mount Weather and walked off into the woods alone before season 2 closed to an end.

But according to Examiner, it seems like she will be meeting someone along the way, possibly an ally who is not yet revealed. The site speculated that it could be Lexa but the voices don't match. Perhaps it's the new character that Entertainment Weekly spoke about, Queen Nia of the Ice Nation. The source said that the Ice Nation has been mentioned throughout the second season.

Clarke is seen in the promo speaking to the unidentified person saying, "I did what I had to do. That's all."

Meanwhile, things between Bellamy and Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) are getting along fine. In the clip, Kane tells Bellamy, "Our people believe that this is real peace. Try not to screw that up."

Reports also say that a major character is going to be killed off in the third season. Showrunner Aaron Ginsburg confirmed the news but has not revealed any more details on who will depart the show soon. He did give a hint that it's going to be a fan favorite character. The fans are hoping that Clarke, Lexa, Bellamy and Octavia will be spared from the wrath of death.

"The 100" season 3 will premiere on Jan. 21, 2016 on the CW.
