'The 100' Season 4 Episode 6 Spoilers: Clarke and Roan Go on a Suicide Mission
Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Roan (Zach McGowan) will brave the odds to deliver something important to Abby (Paige Turco) in the upcoming episode of "The 100."
In the episode titled "We Will Rise," the synopsis (according to CarterMatt) reveals that the two leaders must work together in what can only be called a suicide mission. They must travel through hostile territory to hand over an "invaluable asset" to Clarke's mother.
The promo reveals that the items Clarke and Roan must transport are barrels of hydrogen fuel. Monty (Christopher Larkin) warns both of them that they will be traveling on uneven terrain and that an explosion may occur anytime. If they fail, they just signed the death warrants of their own people.
Aside from the obvious danger, the envoys must keep an eye out for enemy tribes who will do anything to stop the mission from succeeding. In the clip, Bellamy (Bob Morley) is shown loading his gun to take down poachers. Clarke and Roan appear to be hatching a devious plan to confuse their adversaries. It is possible they will be using decoys.
Executive producer Jason Rothenberg previously told Entertainment Weekly that season 4 would test the characters' very core. Everything lies in the choices they make. Clarke has obviously picked the magnanimous option – to save not only her tribe, but all of mankind. Roan's, on the other hand, still remains a mystery.
"You know, this show doesn't slow down for very long, ever. I want the characters to reveal themselves through choices they have to make as a result of the nightmare scenario that's coming. To me, that's what this show is. This show is not a 'sit around and talk and have tea' kind of show. It's a 'we find out that a deathwave is coming in six months and how are we going to survive it?' show," Rothenberg shares in the EW interview.
"The 100" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
