'The 100' Season 5 Spoilers: How Will Motherhood Change Clarke?

Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) life will take a 180-degree turn due to her foster daughter in the upcoming season of "The 100."

Executive producer Jason Rothenberg has previously revealed that after everyone left her, Clarke's little companion would take center stage in her life. The Nightblood named Madi, to be played by Lola Flanery in season 5, has been the only source of happiness for Clarke in the six years that have passed since Praimfaya. Viewers will see exactly how the two met in the new installment and how Clarke's life has changed because of the girl.

"... They are, for all intents and purposes, bonded the way a mother and daughter would be. So Clarke loves her, and her decision-making process has changed, just as it does for anyone who has a child. ... We'll tell the story of how they came together in Season 5, and how they've been surviving as the only two people on the planet — until that ship shows up," the EP teased.

When Abigail (Paige Turco) eventually returns to the ground, she will find that her daughter is no longer the same woman she was forced to leave during the Holocaust. Speculations indicate that becoming a mother has altered Clarke as a person. With Madi depending on her, she cannot afford to make rash decisions anymore. Upon seeing this transformation in Clarke, Abigail will have no trouble understanding since she herself has been through it before.

Meanwhile, the fans are looking forward to the reunion of the Blake siblings. Spoilers reveal that in the six years they have spent apart, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) has sunk deeper into the darkness, making her more dangerous and violent than ever. It is Bellamy's (Bob Morley) job to bring back the old Octavia. Speculations are rife, though, that he may be too late.

"The 100" season 5 is expected to air in 2018.
