'The 100' Season 5 Spoilers: Is Clarke Ready to Fall In Love With Bellamy?
Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) reunion is going to be one of the much-awaited moments for the fans in the upcoming season of "The 100."
After six years of separation, the two characters will finally see each other again when the survivors inside the Ark return to the ground following Praimfaya. Bellamy cannot wait to thank Clarke who agreed to sacrifice her life for the sake of the others. It was because of her that many of the Grounders survived the holocaust. Bellamy still does not know that Clarke is alive, and it is possible that he believes that the nuclear Armageddon surely killed her.
Viewers who were expecting a grand reunion and declaration of love are in for a huge disappointment, however. Series creator Jason Rothenberg revealed in July that it would not happen soon. When the Ark group and Clarke come together again, both of the characters' focuses will be on rebuilding and not on romance. It will take a while for Bellamy and Clarke to acknowledge their feelings for each other, but the EP said it could happen in the future.
Meanwhile, huge changes will be evident when the series returns next year. Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Marcus Kane in the CW series, told Collider that the passing of years would inevitably have an effect on the characters. They are all six years older and hopefully wiser.
"We had discussions about not only how we emotionally change, but how we physically change and how our characters change, and some of us change a lot, as you might, if you're stuck in a bunker or stuck in space, or you're the only person alive on the ground by yourself. How would that affect you? With a lot of those kids, those are your formative years, between 18 and 25, and people change a lot. For the older ones, like Kane and Abby, we just get older and slower," the EP teased.
"The 100" season 5 is expected to air in 2018.
