'The Affair' Season 2 Episode 8 Spoilers: Noah Faces Temptations and Criticism Of His Book

American television drama series "The Affair" is going to show Noah Solloway (Dominic West) dealing with some temptations and critics around him. According to  International Business Times, season 2 episode 8 of the show will kick off with Noah rising to fame as his book "Descent" becomes more and more popular. But with fame comes a flock of beautiful women who he will need to resist if he wants to make things right with his pregnant fiancée, Alison Lockhart (Ruth Wilson).

In the official promo clip released, Noah is seen signing books when a female fan flirts with him. She hands him her phone number after he signs her book and then walks away. The next scene then showed his ex-wife Helen Solloway (Maura Tierney) who told him to give her the number, to which Noah replied, "What number?"

Helen is also seen telling Noah to be careful because it seemed like he is turning to be like her father, which the author greatly disagrees. She also tells him that he's already a little bit "drunk on the power" of his success after Noah tries to talk to a guy who criticized his book, calling it porn.

Christian Today detailed that Noah will come across an article about his book but it's not full of praises but of criticism. The clip showed Noah getting drunk and confronting the writer of the article. Then a scene of Eden (Brooke Lyons), Noah's publicist, is also shown, congratulating him for officially becoming a bad boy.

While Noah is loving the spotlight, Alison isn't liking the consequences of her fiancé's fame. In episode 7, the couple's Thanksgiving dinner was ruined because Noah was 30 minutes late. She also confronted him for fictionalizing their affair and turning it into a book.

Alison is seen in the clip talking to Noah via video chat wherein she showed him the nursery. But instead of being excited with her, he merely asked her what happened to his desk.

"The Affair" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
