'The Affair' Season 3 Updates and Preview: Trailer Shows What Happened to the Characters After Scott's Death; Is Noah Really Guilty?
The third season of "The Affair" is going to premiere soon and Showtime had just released the trailer, which focuses on the aftermath of the second season.
Noah in Prison
The trailer of "The Affair" Season 3 was filled with conflicts, guilt, and a whole lot of heavy emotions. It showcases how the characters are dealing with the death of Scott (Colin Donnell) in Season 2. The aftermath of all the events have culminated into a rolling ball of mistrust and other connivance among the different characters.
"The Affair" season 3 is set three years after the conviction of Noah (Dominic West) for the crime. When he was sent to prison, everyone was pretty much convinced that he actually committed murder. However, Helen (Maura Tierney) naturally sides with Noah, to the confusion of her daughter.
Helen defends Noah that he definitely made some mistakes, but there are things about him that others do not know about. Her quick-witted daughter then swiftly replies to her, further emphasizing that Noah is indeed a murderer. Helen then responded that having been convicted does not make Noah actually guilty.
The trailer for "The Affair" season 3 then shows Helen visiting Noah in prison. She then asks him about the state of their relationship. This then finds Noah confounded. This scene makes it look like something else had seemingly happened in the three-year gap.
Other Details
There have been previous announcements stating that "The Affair" will be seeing Noah having a relationship with another woman. Juliette Le Gall (Irene Jacob) will be helping him to find himself once again and get over the trauma brought by the prison experience. For Noah, though, everything is going just fine as it seems. However, Juliette is seen to be keeping her own secrets, affecting their relationship in the long run.
The trailer of "The Affair" Season 3 also shows the life of the other characters. Alison (Ruth Wilson) is shown having a huge complication. She had seemingly lost her own daughter as her past starts to catch up with her. Cole (Joshua Jackson) and Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno) are considering taking her daughter away as they try building a future for themselves.
Expectedly, the third season of "The Affair" will be hitting the small screen with a lot of explosive drama. Noah's sister, Nina (Jennifer Esposito), is also expected to return for several episodes. Brendan Fraser is also expected to make his comeback through "The Affair". His role still remains undisclosed.
The third season of "The Affair" will premiere on November 20, 10PM on Showtime.
