'The Affair' Season 3: What Will Happen Next to Noah and Alison in the Third Season?

Fans finally got a glimpse of what happened on the night that Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell) died, and all three of the major characters of "The Affair" are actually involved in his death. Now that the cat is out of the bag, viewers wonder what happens next to Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson), and even Helen (Maura Tierney), in the upcoming season of the show.

The last season of "The Affair" ended just a week ago, but fans are already clamoring for the third season. The show was confirmed to return next year, and many wonder what the new story will bring for Noah and Alison, after it was revealed that they were partly to blame for Scotty's death.

According to the International Business Times, Noah ran into Helen, his ex-wife, in a bar, and the two went back down the memory lane. The ex-couple left, and the two were seen driving off with Helen behind the wheels. Noah caresses Helen's hand, which made her take her eyes off the road, but it was also the exact time that Scotty came out of nowhere, and got hit by the car.

Apparently, it was Alison who pushed him to the road, after Scotty tried to force himself on her, and was explained in her point of view. During the trial of Scotty's murder, Noah took the blame, even when Helen and Alison, who kept quiet about their contribution to Scotty's death, were also responsible. Fans wonder how the story will pick up next season, especially with the turn of events.

Enstarz said that the show will continue giving the viewers nonstop drama, and the plot will be crazier and darker. There is no confirmed return date yet for "The Affair," but it is expected to return next year during the fall season.
