'The Affair' Season 4 Spoilers: Has Helen Really Moved On from Noah?

Helen (Maura Tierney) may still be hoping that it will be her and Noah (Dominic West) in the end in the upcoming season of "The Affair."

For fans of the Showtime series, it was tough to believe that Helen decided to reunite with Vic (Omar Metwally) during the last finale. Since the first season, she has stuck by Noah even when he destroyed their family for Alison (Ruth Wilson). Recent spoilers report that Vic and Helen's relationship is only temporary. She will likely try to convince Noah to return to her and their kids sooner or later. Even Vic is aware of her blind adoration for the ex-author. He once gave up on her in the past when she continued to pine for Noah even when they were together.

At the moment, Noah is still with Juliette (Irène Jacob). He followed her to Paris. When her husband died, she decided that being with him was worth a shot. In the end, though, Noah returned to the United States alone. Juliette was left in her home country.

If Helen tries to win back Noah again, she will have to show him that a long distance relationship with the French woman is impossible. In case she succeeds, she will still have another problem to overcome. Noah's sister, Nina (Jennifer Esposito), still hates her. She will always be a torn on Helen's side.

In an interview with Parade, Esposito said that there are still many things that the viewers do not know about her character.

"There's many secrets Nina has with Noah. They have a very full life that we haven't seen. We've seen pieces of it, but they had a tough childhood with the mother being as sick as she was. Watching someone deteriorate before your eyes is not an easy thing. ... I think there's a level of acceptance that Nina has adapted into her life to save herself. I don't think she's particularly happy where she is, but she's in it and she has this life and she's going to take it and be responsible for it, unlike Noah, who she thinks has been irresponsible and self-centered," Esposito said, according to Parade.

"The Affair" season 4 is rumored to return late 2017.
