'The Affair' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Alison Win Joint Custody of Joanie?

Alison (Ruth Wilson) will fight tooth and nail to get joint custody of Joanie (Reagan and Savannah Grella) in the upcoming season of "The Affair."

The next installment of the Showtime series is rumored to be its last. If this will indeed be the series finale, viewers can expect that the complicated relationships among the main characters will be getting closures. Spoilers report that Cole (Joshua Jackson) will eventually decide if he wants another chance with his ex-wife. Alison is bent on winning him back, even if he is already married to Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno). She believes that Cole is meant to be with her and their daughter, no matter how many times he denies it.

Aside from convincing Cole that they should be together again, Alison wants joint custody of Joanie. The court previously decided that she was unfit to raise her child. Joanie was sent to live with her father and his new wife. Luisa did not like the arrangement, but she had no say in the matter. She specifically hated the fact that Alison was always around.

Alison wants their family to be complete. For her, it will be better if Cole just decides to return to her and voluntarily gives Joanie back. That way, she does not need to submit another request for the court to reconsider her appeal.

Meanwhile, Noah (Dominic West) seems to be happy with his relationship with Juliette (Irène Jacob). During the last minutes of season 3, viewers saw Noah returned to the United States with his daughter, Whitney (Julia Goldani Telles). Juliette was left in Paris. Helen (Maura Tierney) and Vic (Omar Metwally) were also back together. There is an expectation though that Noah will have more hurdles to overcome in the future.

On a different note, those who missed the last season of "The Affair" may get to watch what transpired via its DVD copy. Showtime has recently announced that they would be releasing the season 3 DVD on April 25. According to the report, the package will come with three featurettes: "Storytelling with Sarah Treem," "Playing Both Sides," and "Dressing the Part."

"The Affair" season 4 is rumored to return late 2017.
