'The Bachelor 2016' Spoilers: Bachelorettes Compete For Homecoming Crown Ahead Of Dramatic Rose Ceremony
Fans of Ben Higgins were heartbroken when Kaitlyn Bristowe sent the self-proclaimed "unloveable" software salesman home on "The Bachelorette." Ben had high hopes about a future relationship with Kaitlyn and was crushed when he ended up without a rose.
Now, the charming Indiana native can put all that behind him as he stars in the 20th season of the popular romance reality TV series "The Bachelor," where 28 women are competing to win his heart.
The premiere episode for the season aired on Jan. 4 and in it, seven hopefuls were eliminated and Olivia, a 23-year-old news anchor, received Ben's first impression rose.
According to the official synopsis for next week's episode, the aspiring ladies will take a trip down memory lane as they compete for a date that involves a handful of celebrities. Ten of the women will head to a local Los Angeles high school where they will vie for the crown of homecoming queen.
Lace, who wanted another kiss but was denied in the season premiere, will be attempting to make up for her weird antics at the first rose ceremony.
Later, the season's first one-on-one date will get the Hollywood treatment when host Chris Harrison introduces Ben and his lucky date to Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, the stars of the upcoming film "Ride Along 2." Ben and the bachelorette will then set off for a "rollicking, unconventional rendezvous" that will be capped off by a private performance by "Arms of a Woman" singer-songwriter Amos Lee.
Six of the bachelorettes will then head to The Love Lab, where they will be tested to see who has the strongest connection to The Bachelor. The episode will end with a dramatic rose ceremony in which one contestant will make "a stunning decision," according to ABC.
The second episode of "The Bachelor 2016" airs on Monday, Jan. 11, at 8/7 c on ABC.
