'The Bachelor' in Panama Reveals Nudity and Drama
Courtney Robertson Goes Bikini-Less in TV Show
"The Bachelor" recently took a trip to Panama, where viewers witnessed nudity and drama unfold during Monday night's airing of the reality television show.
Last night's episode involved the women wearing outfits with revealing tops made of beads. However, Courtney Robertson, one of nine contestants vying to win the love of bachelor Ben Flajnik, decided to remove her bra, revealing her breasts. Some of the other contestants expressed disapproval after seeing Robertson's actions.
Emily O'Brien, a 27-year-old Ph.D. student from Chapel Hill, N.C., was one of the women to notice the nudity.
"Courtney's not even wearing a top. She's just wearing the beads," O'Brien said. "Yeah, I know, classy right?"
Nicki Sterling, a 26-year-old dental hygienist from Hurst, Texas, said she was not surprised by the actions of her competition.
"I was not shocked at all that Courtney took her top off," Sterling said. "It's just so opposite of how I would act in that situation."
However, Robertson didn't seem to mind her critics during Monday's episode.
"We're getting dressed up and these girls are so prude. Why be modest? We're one with nature, it's raining, let's go bikini-less," she said. "I'm bare-chesting it. I wanted to do the local flavor. It's fun."
Flajnik did not seem to think Robertson's behavior was as inappropriate as her competition.
"I show up and the women are still in bathing suits with traditional garb with the exception of Courtney," he said. "I appreciated that in more than one way."
Although the bachelor admitted to a physical attraction, he also admitted to making an emotional connection on Monday. Flajnik's only one-on-one date was with Kacie Boguskie, a 24-year-old administrative assistant from Clarksville, Tenn., where the pair made a special connection.
Boguskie opened up to the bachelor about her issues with an eating disorder. Flajnik said the news increased his feelings for Boguskie.
"Kacie B.'s eating disorder is a monumental moment in her life and clearly, it's helped her develop into the strong woman she is today," the bachelor said. "She opened up to me and that takes guts. It makes me, I don't know, like her even more."
Despite the connection and moving on with six contestants after the show, the bachelor let go of Blakeley Shea, a 34-year-old VIP cocktail waitress from Charlotte, N.C.; Casey Shteamer, a 26-year-old trading clerk from Leawood, Kan.; and Jamie Otis, a 25-year-old registered nurse from Dryden, N.Y.
