'The Bachelor' News: Olivia Caridi Regretting Sacrifing Job to Be in the Show?

Olivia Caridi, the former news anchor from Texas, was eliminated in the last episode of "The Bachelor," and fans wonder if she regrets giving up her job just to be in the show.

Olivia finally answered her fans' burning questions in her own blog, and according to her, it wasn't a bad idea to leave her job to be in "The Bachelor." "I gave up my job to be on the show, but I did not give up my career," the 23-year-old bachelorette said. She added that people in TV news often move in the early stages of their careers, which is also a common practice for news anchors. "I am confident that I will get another job in broadcast news to continue my career in the television news industry," Olivia added.

Olivia also answered the question if she joined the show for the right reasons. "The Bachelor franchise does a thorough investigation of our intentions and we would not be cast unless we genuinely hoped to find love," she said. The Austin, Texas-native said that she has watched the show for many years, and she is a hopeless romantic, so she joined the show with hopes to have a genuine connection with Ben Higgins. "The opportunity to meet Ben was now or never," Olivia said.

Meanwhile, Ben also talked about last Monday's episode, especially about Olivia, in his blog post on People. Ben said that his fears before going to the show are falling in love with someone who doesn't show her real self to him, and saying good-bye to someone whom he has a real connection with, which pretty much described his relationship with Olivia.

Some of the other girls have brought up the issue to him about Olivia's behavior, so he was surprised to learn about it. During his date with Emily and Olivia, the latter told him that she was in love with him already. "I knew then that Olivia was not the one for me. And I owed it to her to tell her that right then and there," he said.

Watch "The Bachelor" every Monday on ABC.
