'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoilers, Plot News: Sheldon Decides Between Star Wars and Amy?

After a dramatic episode in "The Big Bang Theory" season 9, fans are wondering just how far Sheldon and Amy will go in their relationship.

The previous episode of "The Big Bang Theory" finally had the fan favorite couple "Shamy" share their first kiss. While Amy, played by Mayim Bialik, and Dave, played by Stephen Merchant, were on a date, Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, was able to ruin it by finally giving Amy a kiss.

Amy and Sheldon were seen struggling with their breakup in the previous episodes of the season. The previous season ended with Amy breaking things off with Sheldon before he was about to propose. However, it is now confirmed that they are back together.

With that, it seems as though the upcoming episode will show the two more in love than ever. Titled "The Opening Night Excitation," Sheldon and Amy will be deciding whether they should spend the night together for the first time. However, Sheldon will be conflicted since the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" film will premiere on the same night.

According to TV Guide, the synopsis for the episode reads, "Prof. Proton visits Sheldon in a dream and gives him Obi-Wan Kenobi-like advice about whether to go see the new 'Star Wars' film or spend the time with newly reunited girlfriend Amy on her birthday. Meanwhile, Leonard, Howard, and Raj try to decide who will get their extra ticket to the movie premiere."

As reported by Variety, the executive producer of the series, Steve Molaro, shared his sentiments about Sheldon and Amy's relationship. He explained that they felt as though it was the right time for their relationship to progress, after many seasons of being a couple.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 11 is expected to premiere this Dec. 17.
