'The Blacklist: Redemption' Season 1 Episode 7: Liz Reaches Out to Tom

Liz (Megan Boone) is determined to support her husband, Tom (Ryan Eggold), in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist: Redemption."

In the episode titled "Whitehall," the promo shows the couple talking over the phone. Tom is assuring Liz that he has only one job left to do before he goes home to her and their baby, Agnes. She asks him if she can help him in any way she can.

Tom temporarily left his family to find the truth about his parents. Last episode, Scottie (Famke Janssen) finally learned that Tom was the little boy she lost many years ago. Unfortunately, their reunion was tense, as she also discovered that Tom has been helping her estranged husband, Howard (Terry O'Quinn), all along.

The teaser shows Tom going to Scottie's office and talking to her. After briefly touching his face, she urges him to tell her everything he knows about Howard. Tom is not divulging anything, though. He is determined to get his father out of his prison, even if it means angering Scottie. In the latter part of the clip, Scottie manages to trap Tom. He must have succeeded in his mission to save Howard, but he is severely injured. There is blood all over his face and arms. Scottie orders him to stop running, pointing a gun at him. Tom taunts her, asking if she will shoot her own son. Will she do it?

The sooner Tom gets to iron out the situation involving his parents, the faster he can return home to Liz and Agnes. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eggold said that the actual reunion between the married couple would happen in "The Blacklist" and not in the spinoff. According to him, their relationship would be one of the highlights to look forward to when the series returns.

"They're bonded by both their relationship and their child together, so there was a lot of weight in there, and they're reconnecting. They're missing the person for the first time in a long time. I know that I am going back to Blacklist for at least one episode toward the end of the season. I don't know when that is yet, but that relationship will be explored on Blacklist again later this season. It will definitely be present, it won't just go away," Eggold said, according to EW.

"The Blacklist: Redemption" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
