'The Blacklist' Season 2 News: Episode 7 Recap, Episode 8 Plot Revealed
The Nov. 3 episode of "The Blacklist" sees Red Reddington going after number 23 on his blacklist: The Scimitar.
The scene opens in Dubai wherein Samar is seen in a bar and being spoken to by a man. Later, the man falls out of a 12-story balcony. It turns out that Samar took him out on a joint mission with the Mossad and the CIA, and that the man was actually one of Iran's top nuclear scientists. The Iranians knows the truth about the scientist's death, and so for revenge, they'll be using their best assassin—The Scimitar.
Agent Cooper gets to work on tracking down and protecting the government's top nuclear scientists who are a part of a nuclear research team called Cloud Top. Meanwhile, Ressler and Liz head to the location determined as The Scimitar's hideout. They find him, and they learn that he's looking for Jonathan Reese, a member of Cloud Top. They get to Reese, but two men on a motorcycle shoot at their car, which causes it to flip over several times.
Liz wakes up in a hospital room with a broken arm, Reese is nowhere in sight, and Ressler needs to undergo surgery. But Liz is suspicious and when she checks Ressler's charts, they're blank. She cuts off her cast and gets Ressler off his IV.
The Scimitar arrives at the hotel where Dr. Collins, the head of Cloud Top, is staying. He kills her two FBI guards and just as he's about to roll the doctor out inside a wheeled suitcase, Liz shows up. The Scimitar escapes. Later, Cooper announces that the body of the Scimitar was found in the river with a bullet in his head.

"Red tries to snuff out a new threat by travelling to Moscow with Berlin to track down a high-ranking Russian official. Meanwhile, Liz tries to keep her secret from being exposed," the summary reads.
