'The Blacklist' Season 5 Episode 7 Spoilers: Will This be the End for Dembe?

Dembe's (Hisham Tawfiq) life will be in danger in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."

In the episode titled "The Kilgannon Corporation," the synopsis reveals that Red (James Spader) and the Task Force will send Dembe on a solo mission. He will go undercover to infiltrate an organization rumored to involved with international human smuggling. All hell will break loose when Red's group loses communication with Dember. This will prompt the Task Force to follow his tracks and save him.

The promo shows Red and Liz (Megan Boone) discussing the operation. According to Red, innocent people are being compromised the longer they fail to act. In the clip, adults and children are shown inside a container. Sacks are placed on their heads to prevent them from escaping. Dembe appears to be pretending to be part of the victims. When it becomes apparent that his loyal aide is trapped with no way out, Red acts quickly. He is shown leading the hunt for Dembe.

Meanwhile, Tom's (Ryan Eggold) investigation continues to lead him to dangerous situations. He is still unaware that Red is tracking his every move. The old man discovered Tom's part in the suitcase mystery when they found a phone in Nik's (Piter Marek) possession. When Red called the number, he heard Tom's voice. Red told Dembe to keep a close watch on Tom and report his whereabouts without fail.

Last episode, viewers saw Cooper (Harry Lennix) almost going rogue to save a friend. When the one he cared about was abducted, Cooper asked Red's help with the matter. He was desperate enough to approach the enemy to find his friend alive. Elsewhere, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) led a dangerous operation to stop the revival of a murder-for-hire ring that was dissolved years ago.

"The Blacklist" season 5 airs Wednesdays, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
