'The Brave' Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers: Deputy Director Campbell to Re-Live a Painful Memory in 'Break Out'
One significant mystery that was teased in the premiere episode, and which has also served as a testament to the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) deputy director, Patricia Campbell's (Anne Heche) dedication to her job, was the death of her son. Will she be able to keep her emotions at bay when she is forced to return to where it all happened on the next episode of NBC's military-drama series, "The Brave"?
It can be recalled that during the mission to retrieve the ophthalmologist, Dr. Kimberly Wells (Alix Wilton Regan), Patricia came in to lead the operation despite the fact that it has only been 10 days since her son died.
It was also hinted that Team Dalton has just recently lost a valuable member, but the circumstances of this have not yet been elaborated. However, it seemed to have caused quite a deep understanding between the ground force commander, Capt. Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel), and Patricia that is primarily based on grief.
Could it be that Team Dalton's former member and Patricia's son are one and the same person? If so, what role did he play in Dalton's special operations group and what tragedy has caused his untimely death?
It seems that the answers will finally be revealed on the upcoming next episode titled, "Break Out." The synopsis for the said episode reveals that an American traitor who has previously turned to terrorism has now become the most important person in the prevention of the next terrorist attack on American soil.
The preview for the episode further reveals that retrieving this person will force Patricia to return to the very place where her son lost his life. There also seems to be a breach that will eventually break out at the prison where Dalton is stationed, which will, in turn, endanger his, Patricia's, and the former traitor's life.
Will they be able to make it out of there alive, or will Dalton be forced to make an unexpected sacrifice?
"The Brave" airs on Mondays at 10:01 p.m. EDT on NBC.
