The Conflict Of Ideology Will Change All The Superheroes In 'Captain America: Civil War'
The coming collision of ideology in "Captain America: Civil War" between Team Iron Man and Team Captain America will question everybody's friendship and moral thinking. The film will align the major characters in such a way that nothing will be the same again.
The major shifts in thinking will be that of Captain America's and Iron Man's. Captain America has always been the righteous one, going by the book, while Tony Stark has been the wise-cracking, rule-bending charismatic one. In "Captain America: Civil War," all this changes. It is Tony Stark who wants everybody to register for the 'Superheroes Registration Act' and seems to think that superheroes need the guidance of some authority figure to report to.
Captain America is opposing the Act as now he does not trust anybody.
Chris Evans said, "Tony actually thinks we should be signing these accords and reporting to somebody and Cap, who's always been a company man and has always been a soldier, actually doesn't trust anymore."
The other main characters are also going to change. If the movie aligns itself with the comic book, the superheroes are split into two teams and will break up the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new characters will cause even more tension.
Sharon Carter, a.k.a. Agent 13 who viewers saw in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", will not waste time. She will leap right into action mode, her loyalty to Captain America intact.
Natasha Romanoff a.k.a.the Black Widow is on Team Iron Man and her friendship with Iron Man is growing. But she has a whole baggage of inner demons to battle with. The 'Superheroes Registration Act' will do more than just let the public see all her secrets. She will now have to embrace the values of Team Iron Man and fight for security over liberty at personal cost.
Thaddeaus Ross is the new character who will most probably be pitted against The Hulk. Has Tony Stark brought him out of retirement?
Scarlet Witch has a personal agenda - to avenge her brother Quicksilver's passing. A highly principled extremist, she is going to terrify everyone including Captain America and Tony Stark with her reality-bending prowess. She is a "wild card" in the war.
Bucky Barnes was an unwilling villain in "The Winter Soldier." In this film, he will emerge as an interesting character with redemption on his mind as more of his traumatic past will be revealed.
Spider-Man's character might have to change from the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man to someone who takes Tony Stark's side and fights other superheroes. He will have to discard his ethics in this war.
Evans also remarked about the conflict of ideology between Captain America & Iron Man, "Hopefully what will make the movie great is nobody's right, nobody's wrong. There's no clear bad guy here. We both have a point of view, which is akin to most disagreements in life and politics."
