'The Crew: Wild Run' Closed Beta Schedule Has Been Announced

Those who have been waiting for the expansion pack of "The Crew" titled as "Wild Run" are in for a treat as Ubisoft has just announced that the upcoming game will be available on PC as a closed beta. According to a report by VG 24/7, the closed beta is scheduled to take place beginning Oct. 15 up to Oct. 19. It will then follow a launch day which will be on Nov. 17 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

IGN detailed that through the closed beta, players will be able to take part in "The Crew: Wild Run's" new event called "The Summit," which is described by Ubisoft in a recent press release as a "gathering of thousands of drivers and mechanics from around the world" and "the largest challenge in a driving game to date." It is chiefly a competition featuring a large selection of vehicles ranging from motorcycles to monster trucks. Players can choose what they prefer. The competition will then be set in iconic locations all over the United States.

Players will have access to all the PvE and PvP race events and missions and they get level up and unlock items for their vehicles. Found in the "Wild Run" expansion pack are drifters, dragsters, monster trucks and motorbikes. Those who are part of the closed beta will also be the first ones to witness the new visual overhaul that developer Ivory Tower has incorporated across the whole game.

In a report by The Sixth Axis, Ivory Tower's Managing Director Ahmed Boukhelifa said that working with Ubisoft for "The Crew" has developed for them a positive relationship and there is no doubt that they will continue to work together in the future.

"By joining Ubisoft, the team at Ivory Tower will continue to benefit from Ubisoft's infrastructure, support, tools, technology and vision," stated Boukhelifa. "In return, we will contribute our own expertise to the broader Ubisoft story."
