'Dark Knight Rises' Trailer Released; Does Bruce Wayne Die? (VIDEO)
"Dark Knight Rises" trailer— the third one so far— has been released, and critics are analyzing every second to discover what may happen in the surefire blockbuster of the summer.
The "Dark Knight Rises" trailer starts out like the others, with Bruce Wayne looking haggard and worn. The end of director Christopher Nolan's dark take on the Batman series shows the criminal strategist Bane committing acts of unspeakable terrorism.

"There's a storm coming," Selina Kyle (Anne Hathway) tells Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), foreshadowing the coming catastrophes.
"You sound like you're looking forward to it," challenges Wayne. "I'm adaptable," says Kyle, alluding to her alter ego, Catwoman, and her propensity to switch sides.
Several seconds later, bridges and football fields explode, and anarchy rules the streets. Not long after, Bane (Tom Hardy) stands above Wayne, who is unmasked and defeated.
"Why didn't you kill me?" questions the perplexed billionaire.
"Your punishment must be more severe," answers the sadistic Bane.
The trailer, though full of action-packed IMAX-shot direction and action, leaves many questions unanswered in a bid to raise the hype around the summer movie. Perhaps the most lingering is what Nolan has planned to end the trilogy. Will Bruce Wayne die? And, if he does, will a young cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) don the mask and continue the vigilante justice for Gotham?
One hint viewers can see comes when Kyle, now shown dressed as Catwoman, attempts to sway Batman from taking on Bane— presumably after his first defeat.
"You don't owe these people anymore. You've given them everything," she pleads. "Not everything. Not yet," he says.
The scenes weren't the only improvement in the trailer. We get to see more of the Batwing, and Bane's voice— garbled and inaudible during the first two trailers— was considerably cleaned up, coming through crystal clear.
"I am Gotham's reckoning," he says through the mask.
"The Dark Knight Rises" is slated for a June 20 release.
