'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' News: Survival Mode To Challenge Players with the Reality of Mortality
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" has been one of the most successful open-world action role-playing game to be released. Recent reports have revealed that the team behind the game title is intent on keeping the hype up with the game as Bethesda has announced that a new Survival Mode will be introduced through the Creators Club.
The Creators Club for "Skyrim" is a way for players to experience extra downloadable content made by professionals. Although it does come with a price tag, fans who avail of the feature will get to see some interesting creations from the developer of the popular game title. One of those creations is the Survival Mode, which is similar to the one seen in "Fallout 4."
According to Bethesda, the Survival Mode will and new gameplay features and challenges that will have players come to terms with their character's mortality. It will introduce "Skyrim" to a world where hunger impacts stamina, fatigue decreases magic, and cold negatively affects health. Players will also have to be careful when handling warmth as some armors might not be suited for the weather of a specific area on the map.
Furthermore, the Survival Mode on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will introduce freezing water, which can kill the fans' character is they do not get out of it soon enough. Fast travel will also be disabled, along with health regeneration, which can only be done through restorative spells, food, and potions. Leveling up will require their character to sleep and rest as their carry weight has also been significantly reduced.
Characters in "Skyrim" will not be immune to afflictions and disease. Given that all the changes are already challenging, Bethesda also urged their fans to give the new Survival Mode on "Skyrim" a shot by playing it on the maximum difficulty setting.
The Survival Mode on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is now available for beta testing through Steam.
