'The Expendables 4' News: Salman Khan Rumored to Join Cast
Several Bollywood stars are being acquainted with upcoming movies in Hollywood, and with Amir Khan and Sonu Sood cast in Jackie Chan's movie "Kung Fu Yoga," another actor is hot in the eyes of the media and fans as he is rumored to join the cast of "The Expendables 4."
With Bollywood and Hollywood stars beginning to collaborate for movies, it isn't surprising that rumors are getting ripe about Bollywood actors and actresses being cast for Hollywood movies.
One of the most recent stars rumored to debut in Hollywood is Salman Khan. Desi Blitz says Khan is being eyed to join the action-packed fourth installment in the "Expendables" franchise.
Khan and Sylvester Stallone have been reportedly sending tweets of kind words to each other in the past weeks and many fans and outlets speculate that the great Sly may be eyeing Khan to be the newest member of the cast.
Day Herald also adds that Sly is impressed with the many fans supporting Khan, noting that great action films require a massive fanbase for its success.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the fourth installment will start filming in 2016 and the movie will be out for fans in 2017. The movie is said to be produced with over $100 million in budget money.
The "Expendables" franchise has become a successful hit in the independent pictures that hit the Chinese market as it has been reported that the third movie made $78 million in China.
It seems the franchise is never short of the masses' attention as a rumor that has surfaced from the first movie once again started roaming social media. While the great Action Hall of Famer Chan has clarified earlier that he has discussed his reasons for turning down the invites from Stallone, many fans are still eager to have him aboard.
Chan said last year that he talked to Stallone and told him he would prefer a movie starring just him and Sly so both of them can have more screen time instead of all of them appearing in just 5 minutes or so.
"The Expendables 4" is scheduled for release sometime in 2017.
