'The Expendables 4' Rumors: Movie with Over $100 Million in Budget?

Despite the lowest figures that the "Expendables" franchise raked in for its third installment, it obviously didn't keep the team from getting enough support to give its fans the fourth movie as it was announced earlier in October that "The Expendables 4" is definitely on the way.

It should be noted that the third movie didn't even make it to the $40 million mark in the U.S. box office, but because it was able to get $78 million from China, it still makes for a huge success compared to other action films.

Some outlets believe that one of the reasons that made the third movie flop is because the entire movie was leaked online before it was even released on the big screens. Obviously, people who already saw the action wouldn't bother spending cash on tickets just to see Sylvester Stallone and his gang on the big screen.

Another reason that some experts suggest could have contributed to the movie's fall is the production's decision to opt for a PG-13 rating. The other two movies have been rated R and this is largely the reason why so many people were attracted to the big screens. However, the third film deviated from the norms, which could have possibly led to the audiences' loss of interest.

Meanwhile, the hype is up ever since it was announced that production will begin for the fourth movie next year as the team is looking forward to a 2017 release.

The most recent rumor that got the attention of many is the news that the movie has been given a budget of over $100 million. It is yet the biggest figure that landed on the "Expendables" franchise, and if it turns out to be true, the movie has a big shoe to fill in as a bigger budget only means bigger expectations.

While there are not too many details revealed just yet about the movie, loyal fans already expressed their excitement and support for the movie, despite Jackie Chan confirming that he still won't be making an appearance in the movie.
