'The Flash/Arrow' Spinoff News: Show Goes Straight To Series, Will Premiere in January 2016
The still untitled spinoff series is moving faster than expected. One of the series' stars, Victor Garber, recently revealed that the show is no longer going through pilot, but instead is going straight to series.
In a report in the Inquisitr, which was also based on another report in Design and Trend, Garber had said that viewers of the CW network and fans of DC Comics may not need to wait much longer. He said, "We haven't filmed any of it yet, but it is going straight to series. We start filming in August and it will be on in January."
When asked about details of the show, all he could say was that "it is completely new and it will involve a lot of interesting people." He however shared that the network will soon be revealing additional information about the new series soon, possibly within the month of May.

Garber plays one-half of the character Firestorm in the upcoming series. He is joined by other cast members Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson and Caity Lotz as a still unconfirmed character.
The CW Network has not confirmed any of the reports so far, including one about the rumored title of the show, which will reportedly be "Legends of Tomorrow."
The network, according to a report in Forbes, is banking on the popularity of "The Flash" TV series as well as that of "Arrow." The spinoff is part of the network's big plans for its DC brand, which is said to include introducing DC superheroes who have yet to appear on TV or film. The new series, however, is not making use of the two shows title stars but that of its supporting hero cast only, which according to the report may be risky for a new show.
