'The Flash' News: Robbie Amell Talks Firestorm, Episode 3 Plot Revealed

The second episode of "The Flash" saw the "death" of Ronnie Raymond, played by Robbie Amell. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Amell said that this is just the beginning as his character will come back as Firestorm.

In the comic books, the character was created when a lab accident fused Ronnie to the older scientist Dr. Martin Stein. The two men occupy one body, with Ronnie being in control of the body and powers, while Stein controls the brain.

"It'll take a minute before Firestorm turns back into Ronnie because when they find him in December, my character is really going through some stuff," said Amell to THR. "He's schizophrenic, doesn't know what's happening, he's confused and dangerous to the people around him. You may not see Ronnie Raymond for a little while, but you'll see Firestorm."

It has been previously reported that Dr. Stein will be played by Victor Garber, and Amell shared how he was looking forward to working with the "Alias" alum.

"It's so awesome!" Amell exclaimed. "I worked with Victor Garber on a TV movie a couple years ago and he was awesome. He's so freakin' talented … I gotta start watching Alias and start working on my Victor Garber impression. Sometimes Firestorm is Ronnie and sometimes he's Martin Stein, but physically it's going to be my body."

Meanwhile, here's the official synopsis of the third episode of "The Flash," titled "Things You Can't Outrun."

"As Barry and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs work to capture Kyle Nimbus aka The Mist, a dangerous new meta-human with toxic gas powers, they revisit the painful night the particle accelerator exploded and killed Caitlin's fiancé, Ronnie. Meanwhile, Joe decides to finally visit Henry in jail after all these years, but things take a dangerous turn when Kyle shows up looking to punish Joe for arresting him years ago. Meanwhile, Iris and Eddie continue to hide their relationship from Joe," the synopsis reads.

Watch Episode 3 of "The Flash" on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
