'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers: Jay Garrick Mentors Barry Allen

The whole S.T.A.R. Labs team will be back in full force now that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) decided he is not "better off alone," especially that there is a new threat in Central City.

Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), who is the original "Flash," will now be joining the team, and according to Melty, he got new skills to teach Barry in "The Flash" season 2 episode 2, which is entitled "Flash of Two Worlds."

In a promo video released by The CW, Garrick confesses he might know how to stop the villains that are attacking the city. "Where I came from, they call me the Flash," Garrick said. Having two "Flashes" might be helpful to the group now that Zoom (Tony Todd) exists, and other dangerous meta-humans still pose danger to humankind.

Andrew Kreisberg, the show's executive producer, also teases fans about Barry's new powers, in his interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Yeah. We're going to be seeing him learn a couple of new tricks," Kreisberg said. Barry's added knowledge might be because of Jay Garrick's mentorship.

Meanwhile, Joe West (Jesse Martin) will now have a new partner named Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten). According to the International Business Times, the new forensic scientist might become Barry's new love interest.

TV Guide posted a complete synopsis of the upcoming episode, and the summary said that, "Jay Garrick, a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom who is out to destroy the Flash. Barry and the team must decide if they can trust him, even as they face yet another powerful meta-human. Meanwhile, Joe deals with a determined officer named Patty Spivot who wants to join his meta-human task force."

"The Flash" season 2 episode 2 will air this Oct. 13 on The CW.
