'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 8 Spoilers: Vandal Savage's Attack In First Part

Following the success of the first season, "The Flash" returned with a new set of episodes packed with action and adventure, and with the upcoming "Arrow" crossover, fans are in for another ride with the swift hero.

Season 2, episode 8 promises a very interesting plot that is even rumored to have DC's biggest superhero as a guest star in the first half, titled "Legends of Today." Previous reports said the second half will debut in episode 8 of "Arrow" season 4 and is titled "Legends of Tomorrow." Both specials were created to pave the way for the spin-off series.

In the official synopsis (via Spoilers Guide), guest star Casper Crump will set foot in Central City as Vandal Savage, a villain who will target Kendra (Ciara Renée). Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets involved in the scene and is attacked, too.

The two will then need the help of Barry (Grant Gustin), a.k.a The Flash, to make plans on how they can stop Vandal's plaguing presence. Oliver (Stephen Amell) also intervenes, with the help of the entire "Arrow" team, which consists of Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Laurel, a.k.a Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willa Holland), Malcolm (John Barrowman), and Diggle (David Ramsey).

In the promotional trailer, it seems things will only get much tougher as Oliver tells the team that he discovered Vandal's immortality. This poses not only a threat to the heroes but to the entire city as well.

Meanwhile, an exciting rumor has gone around the Internet for quite some time, focusing on Tom Welling's Superman from "Smallville." According to Inquisitr, the rumor indicates that the two-part special from The CW will possibly take in Superman to be a guest star in the much-awaited crossover.

While the rumor remains to be as it is, Superman's appearance will surely be an assurance that the episode will obtain high ratings since fans actually requested to see him in the series earlier.

"The Flash" season 2 episode will air on Tuesday, Dec. 1, on The CW.
