'The Flash' Season 2 News: Joe, Iris Get To Know Wally; Barry To Confess To Patty?

After a lengthy holiday break, The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" Season 2 is finally coming back to the small screens with a brand new, exciting episode that might find Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) revealing very crucial information to a very special person. Meanwhile, the Wests get to know their new family member.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode called "Potential Energy," Barry and Patty's (guest star Shantel VanSanten) growing fondness for each other might force the Fastest Man Alive to finally reveal his secret identity as the hero who saved Central City from the destruction brought about by the Singularity as well as the day-to-day occurrences of meta-humans.

There have been moments when viewers could see the CCPD forensic scientist wanting to divulge to his lady love that he is the famous Flash. However, his desire to keep Officer Spivot from getting harmed has helped him hold his tongue. How will Patty react to Barry's big revelation about himself?

The summary from TFC went on to mention the other development expected in the upcoming episode. As it says, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) will start to reach out to their long-lost West family member. Spoiler alert for those who missed the mid-season finale, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) arrived at Joe's place while the whole team celebrated the holiday. It was a good thing that Iris had already told Joe about his son prior to the meet-up.

As for the week's meta-human crisis, the team will be hunting down a meta-human who can reportedly slow time itself. Earlier spoiler reports indicated that the character, called the Turtle Man, will be played by "Battlestar Galactica" actor Aaron Douglas. For DC comic book fans, they may know the said villain to be "The Slowest Man on Earth." Battling with this kind of enemy could definitely thwart The Flash's key ability: speed. Will Barry be able to subdue him?

Find out how these things unfold when "The Flash" Season 2 airs this Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
