'The Flash' Season 2 News, Update: New Promo Video Teases Action-Packed Behind-the-Scenes
It's getting closer than ever and fans are now hankering for more information on what to expect when the second season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" returns to the small screen.
A new promo video released by the network and shared over at DenOfGeek.us intends to remind the viewers that there's only about "three weeks" left and it's "Go Time" for the Grant Gustin-starred speedster show.
The short clip went on to highlight some goofy and at the same time, amazing, behind-the-scene footages. One in particular is the Atom-Smasher actor, Adam Copeland, who appears to be suited up with special props that will make him look bigger later on when CGI techniques are employed. His scenes suggest big troubles for the Red Streak as the latter was seen getting (easily) man-handled, strangled and choked, over and over again.
Adding to the headache for the Scarlet Speedster is the return of the conniving duo, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell). Barry appears to be getting his hands full dealing with the gun-toting crime partners, whom he was supposed to have already taken care of back in Season 1 but managed to escape.
It is also worth noting The Flash's new costume that now holds a redesigned chest emblazon.
New promo photos also arrived this week, this time shared over at Entertainment Weekly. Again, outdoor scenes featuring the Fastest Man Alive were shown as he takes on the city-wide crisis most probably perpetrated by the new aforementioned supervillain.
Other than that, a surprising still teases the return of Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne. All the people at STAR Labs, except perhaps Jesse L. Martin's Joe West, appear to be surprised to see the former head in front of them.
It remains to be seen how the Season 1 big bad survived and still managed to come back to Central City.
"The Flash" Season 2 opens October 6 at 8/7c on The CW.
