'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Will Lex Luthor Make a Cameo Appearance on 'The Flash?'

A new speedster is expected to arrive in Central City, and it is no other than Eliza Harmon. The show is currently casting for the actress who'll play Eliza, but what fans are most excited about is whether Eliza's creator, Lex Luthor, will also appear this season on "The Flash."

According to Fashion & Style, fans are curious if the billionaire super villain will make a cameo appearance once Eliza's character is introduced on the show, which will be in episode 16. The website mentioned that Lex was the one responsible for giving Eliza her super speed, based on the original DC comics, and fans are hoping that he will drop by to antagonize Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin).

However, the website said that origin of Eliza's speedster powers may be altered to follow the story line of "The Flash." The report said that her powers' origin might either be because Eliza was a test subject of Barry's nemesis Zoom or she might also be a victim of the explosion of the particle accelerator in Earth-2.

TV Line said that the female speedster is described as someone with a "Jekyll and Hyde" split personality, but is also an "exceptionally bright" woman of science. Fans are curious on how Barry and his team will handle having another speedster in the city, since Joe's (Jesse L. Martin) son and Iris' (Candace Patton) brother, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), is also expected to become the Kid Flash.

During Lonsdale's interview with Just Jared Jr., the actor described Wally as someone who is "quick," "layered," and "fun." Lonsdale will be back in episode 10, which is titled "Potential Energy," and he hopes that the viewers will love his character just like the other speedsters on the show.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 10 will premiere on Jan. 19, on The CW network.
