'The Fosters' Season 4 Episode 18: Callie Makes an Important Decision About Aaron
Things are progressing between Aaron (Elliot Fletcher) and Callie (Maia Mitchell) in the upcoming episode of "The Fosters."
In the episode titled "Dirty Laundry," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that Aaron will invite Callie on a road trip. He will be visiting his parents and wants to introduce her to them. In the series, their friendship has always verged on love. Aaron has made no secret of the fact that he likes Callie as a girl. She is in a relationship with AJ (Tom Williamson), however, which makes things difficult for them.
AJ has been jealous of Callie's friendship with Aaron for some time now. He can see that she is comfortable being with the other guy. When Callie met Aaron in a coffee shop, she and AJ were fighting. He was nice to her and they talked a lot. She even mentioned to AJ once that if she did not have a boyfriend, she would likely date Aaron. Now that Callie's relationship with AJ is on the rocks, will Aaron finally get the chance to win her over?
In a January interview, Mitchell spoke about the Callie and Aaron storyline. According to her, the more Callie spends time with Aaron, the more AJ will become suspicious of their connection. Compared to AJ, Aaron understands her need to delve further into Mrs. Johnson's murder. He is always supportive and Callie can talk to him about anything that bothers her.
"You definitely see her leaning towards Aaron, just because he has been so involved in the case. He's really the one that she's gone to with all the information. He's kind of been her sidekick in all of this. You see her relying and leaning on him. That can be really frustrating for AJ, her boyfriend, who is already quite threatened by Aaron for quite good reason. Aaron can really overstep a lot of the time and Callie has a history with him," Mitchell said in an interview with TV Guide.
"The Fosters" season 4 episode 18 will air on Tuesday, March 28 at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
