The Glory of Easter Recreates Passion Week
With around a month remaining before the celebration of Easter, the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif. has scheduled to host its annual showing of "The Glory of Easter" on March 11-26.
A cast of over 100 volunteer actors and professionals will be presenting "the largest and most spectacular passion play brought to life through exciting drama, song and pageantry," stated the church website.
The renowned show is a life-like recreation of passion week including the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus cleansing the temple, the Last Supper, the trial, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. With soaring angels overhead and animals parading the aisles, "the passion play is an exciting interpretation of the week that changed the course of history forever."
