'The Good Fight' Season 2 Renewed at CBS All Access
CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service, has recently announced that its first original scripted series "The Good Fight" has been greenlit for a second season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Good Fight" has been renewed for a second season and is set to premiere sometime in early 2018.
"We're only a few episodes into the first season and the reaction from CBS All Access subscribers and critics alike has been phenomenal," CBS Interactive president and chief operating officer Marc DeBevoise recently said in a statement. "This series and its characters are just beginning and we can't wait to see where Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the amazing cast take 'The Good Fight' next."
A spin-off of the CBS series "The Good Wife," "The Good Fight" picks up one year after the events of the final episode of its predecessor series. In this new series, an enormous financial scam wipes out Diane Lockhart's (Christine Baranski) savings while simultaneously destroying the reputation of Diane's goddaughter, a young lawyer named Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie).
Forced out Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago's distinguished law firms.
The series also stars Delroy Lindo, Erica Tazel, Sarah Steele and Justin Bartha.
"The Good Fight" was created by series showrunners and executive producers Robert and Michelle King with Phil Alden Robinson. Robinson also served as co-writer and executive producer of the show's premiere episode with the Kings. Other executive producers of the series include Ridley Scott, Liz Glotzer, David W. Zucker, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross.
The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions and is distributed internationally by CBS Studios International.
"The Good Fight" season 1 is now available to stream on CBS All Access with new episodes released every Sunday.
