'The Good Wife' Season 5 Spoilers: 'There's Some Dirty Work to be Done'
Hit CBS show, "The Good Wife" has been full of excitement as of late. Most notable, a scandal that implies Peter may have rigged the election has come up. How will Alicia and the rest of the cast deal with this problem? For spoilers from executive producers and co-creators Michelle King and Robert King, read on.
Michelle King and Robert King recently spoke to TV Guide about the upcoming episodes of "The Good Wife." Michelle King spoke to the relationship between Peter and Alicia.
We wanted to be true to the idea of the relationship and what started at the beginning of the series, which was this incredible betrayal. Then, yes, they came together, but even when there's a whiff of something for her to lose her trust, she reacts a lot because of that initial betrayal," Michelle King said.
Executive producer Robert King explained to TV Guide that the scandal is even more complicated for Alicia because Zach, her son is implicated in it.
"There's a problem there, [Alicia's] cynical enough or pragmatic enough to not mind that there's some dirty work to be done with the job. What she's really against is when the dirty work throws back on their kids. And that's one area that she will draw the line [on] no matter what," the executive producer and co-creator said.
Robert King went on to say that keeping Peter in line will fall on the shoulders of Eli, and it won't be easy for him.
"The problem Eli has is he knows Alicia is a benefit, but he also knows that Peter is most willing to break rules when it's about his family. This delicate dance for Eli: How much can he guide him towards Alicia's ideas and how much away from Alicia's ideas?" he said to TV Guide.
