'The Good Wife' Season 7 Plot News: Peter's Campaign Faces Some Bumps
The upcoming episode of "The Good Wife" season 7 will have Peter Florrick challenged by his new campaign strategy.
Titled "Cooked," the episode will have Eli Gold, played by Alan Cumming, presenting his new campaign strategy for Peter Florrick, played by Chris Noth.
While Gold's strategies will be filled with smart moves and tactics, it was stated that things will fail to go according to plan.
Meanwhile, Eli will be encouraging Peter's wife, Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies, and his daughter, Veronica, played by Stockard Channing, to involve themselves in Peter's campaign. He suggested that they should take part in the mother/daughter cooking show. However, his suggestion will end poorly.
However, fans can expect that the upcoming episode will be able to delve deeper into the relationship of mother-daughter Alicia and Veronica. Margulies mentioned that working with Channing was very enjoyable. She said, "I had to ask Alan and Margo not to look at me during my close-up because I was crying laughing so hard. It's a lot of fun."
On the other hand, Alicia will surely have her own set of problems outside Peter's campaign. It was mentioned that she will be working with Lucca Quinn, played by Cush Jumbo, on a difficult court case. The case will focus around a designer drug dealer, which means that private investigator, Jason Crouse, will be helping them get to the bottom of the case.
Jason Crouse will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It was hinted in previous reports that he will be Alicia's love interest in the upcoming season. Margulies recently shared details on her character's love life for season 7. She said, " I think Alicia needs some loving. I think it's pretty important. I think the danger of her trying to do everything herself is, she's closing off a very vulnerable side of herself that she's becoming afraid of, to open up again."
"The Good Wife" season 7 episode 3 is expected to premiere this Oct. 18 on CBS.
