'The Good Wife' Season 7 Spoilers: New Teaser Shows Alicia Losing It

When "The Good Wife" returns with new episodes in 2016, it will also return with a very different Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies).

Though "The Good Wife" fans know Alicia for her calm and reserved manner, the latest teaser for the CBS legal and political drama series shows the character's wrath unleashed by Eli Gold (Alan Cumming), her husband Peter's (Chris Noth) crisis manager and campaign strategist.

In the winter finale episode, titled "KSR," Eli confessed that it was he who deleted Will Gardner's (Josh Charles) voicemail message for Alicia six years ago, and the new promo clip starts with Eli saying "I'm sorry." Alicia and her former lover and old friend Will had a love affair that spanned two seasons.

Will was killed by a client in Season 5. In the voicemail, he tells Alicia that he loves her and will do anything to be with her.

Years have passed since Will's tragic and untimely demise, but Alicia obviously still has some strong and deeply-seated feelings about it and she's not about to let Eli's slip-up go without a fuss. Visibly upset but trying to keep her emotions under control, she responds to Eli's confession by saying, "I need you not to talk."

When Eli opens his mouth again, she kicks her chair back and pushes the table towards Eli. She is then seen calmly placing a stack of plates on the table as Eli cowers by the doorway.

Furious, she begins flinging the plates towards him, smashing one on the wall and another on the floor as he attempts to shield himself. Eli flees as Alicia follows, throwing plates and slamming the door shut in anger after he exits.

What happens next, fans will have to wait and see as "The Good Wife" continues its seventh season with "Iowa" on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
