'The Hateful Eight' News: Eight Teasers Revealed
New teasers for the upcoming Quentin Tarantino movie "The Hateful Eight" have been revealed.
It was reported that eight video clips for "The Hateful Eight" have been revealed prior to the film's Hollywood premiere. The clips featured the director, as well as several cast members, who shared some information about the film.
The featurette revealed the aesthetic aspect of the film, with its 70 mm format, which will allow for an enhanced view. The format will provide more details with a wide frame. Tarantino explained that this is to make sure that the viewing of the film will make for an event.
It was said that the movie is also filmed in ultra Panavision, in order to go with the movie "Ben Hur." Tarantino explained that he used the same template as that in "Ben Hur" in order to create a quality film.
With that, the story of "The Hateful Eight" is also expected to be rooted from an interesting political statement. The film received some controversy when Tarantino was seen participating in an anti-police-brutality rally.
According to Variety, co-chairman Harvey Weinstein shared his sentiments about Tarantino's statement with the upcoming film. He said, "I think it's his most political movie, and at the same time, his funniest movie. So it's a dichotomy. And it's very optimistic. But it's baptism by fire. Even through all that gunfire, the end of the movie — no spoilers here — the idea of the relationships at the end are so optimistic. It's got something to say that's extremely important about how people should get along."
With that, it was reported that there were boycotts made regarding his film. However, the success of the film's Hollywood premiere was fortunate enough to avoid any rallies or demonstrations.
"The Hateful Eight" is expected to release in theaters on Dec. 25.
