'The iDOLM@STER Side M' Air Date, Spoilers: Special Programs and Collaborations Usher in the Arrival of New Anime Adaptation

The anime adaptation of Bandai Namco Games' Japanese racing simulation and rhythm video game is debuting in October under the title, "The iDOLM@STER Side M."

Two special programs are scheduled to air prior to the series' official release date. The first one titled, "Idolm@ster SideM Broadcast Celebration SP St@rting Ceremony," is a special talk show event that will reportedly feature Shugo Nakamura (Teru Tendo), Yuuma Uchida (Kaoru Sakuraba) and Taku Yashiro (Tsubasa Kashiwagi), who altogether make up the unit DRAMATIC STARS.

The first special will air on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo TV, BS11 and other related channels.

On the other hand, the second special titled "The iDOLM@STER Prologue Side M ~Episode of Jupiter~" will be part of a special late-night programming on Tokyo TV, BS11, and Tokyo MX. This particular special will feature Jupiter and how they became part of the 315 Production. The program is scheduled to air on the following Saturday, Sept. 30, late night at 12:30 a.m. JST.

Additionally, it has also been revealed that all 46 idols from 315 Production will be appearing on stage for the "The Idolm@ster SideM 3rd Live Tour ~Glorious St@ge~" happening in February 2018.

A collaboration project is also in the works between "SideM" and the character café Anion Station Akihabara, as well as the indoor theme park, Namco Namja Town located in Ikebukuro in Japan.

"The Idolm@ster SideM 315! Station Akihabara," the collaboration with Anion, has already opened and will last until Jan. 28 next year.

On the other hand, the collaboration with the indoor park, "The Idolm@ster SideM in Namja Town," will be open from Nov. 23 to Jan. 28.

"The iDOLM@STER Side M" will premiere on Saturday, Oct. 7, on Tokyo MX, ABC Asahi Broadcast, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, NBN (Nagoya TV), and BS11. Plans are also being made to possibly make the series available on online streaming services such as Bandai Channel, Animate Channel, and Nico Nico Doga. The exact broadcast time has not yet been revealed.
