'The Incredibles 2' Release Date, Plot News: Two Mystery Dates Penciled In for Sequel

It's been more than a decade since Pixar Animation Studios released the hit film 'The Incredibles' that tells the story of the Parr family, a family of superheroes who are trying to adjust in a world that has shunned anyone with superpowers.

Though news of 'The Incredibles 2' first broke in March 2014 as Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger announced that the sequel was in development, little is known about what fans can expect from the film. Now, more information has started coming in about the plot and the people involved in the upcoming film.

At the moment, no official director has been announced, but according to CinemaBlend, Brad Bird, writer and director of the first movie, is developing the story for the sequel.

The Parr family will reportedly be back for the sequel, however, there is no confirmation whether the original voice actors will be back for the film.

There is speculation that there will be a time jump between the first movie and the sequel, and the Parr children are expected to be older. It's possible that Dash, the boy with the gift of speed, could be voiced by another actor in 'Incredibles 2'.

There are rumors that Jack-Jack, the baby of the family, could be the central focus of the plot as at the end of the original movie, the family discovers that far from being powerless, Jack-Jack is actually the most powerful of them all as he has super strength, laser vision, has the ability to shapeshift, phase through objects, and teleport as seen in movie and the short, 'Jack-Jack Attack.'

No release date has been officially set for the film, but Pixar has already penciled in November 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018 for their upcoming projects, which have not been named. It's possible that the film could premiere on any of these two dates.
