The Last of Us DLC: Grounded Bundle's Last Expansion for PS3 Season Pass; Includes New Difficulty and Weapons
The Last of Us' newest DLC, "Grounded," will introduce a new difficulty mode, four new maps, and weapons among other features.
According to GameSpot, the Grounded Bundle for the PS3 will be the last DLC in the $20 season pass, and will include new features to both the single player and multiple player. It can be purchased on its own for $5.
The new difficulty is called Grounded Mode, and game developer Naughty Dog is boosting it will be the "hardest challenge" in the game.
"The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal, and survival will be near impossible," Naughty Dog said in a statement to GameSpot. Players will even get a special Trophy for the challenge, "Completed Grounded Mode."
Also included in the bundle is new guns: Specter, Double Barrel, Enforcer, and Launcher – as well as additional survivor skills. Additionally, the expansion has the Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, which has Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine, and Water Tower levels.
Available for free download is the Full Auto Rifle, which Naughty Dog said is "very ease to use."
Game Spot reported The Last of Us Season Pass will only be available for about four more weeks so gamers have to join now or pay for all the expansions separately.
"While it's been very cool to tell you about all this fresh content, nothing beats showing you. To that end, we'll be livestreaming for the first time ever Thursday, April 24th over on the Naughty Dog Twitch channel. We'll be showing off some of the new Grounded Bundle content, so tune in at 12:00 PM Pacific on April 24th to see new DLC in action," a post on the PlayStation Blog said.
