The site recently had the chance to preview the DLC which is set before the events of the actual game and after the events of the prequel comic. It will feature the character Ellie along with a new companion named Riley. The DLC will explore their relationship and Ellie's experience at the quarantine boarding school. Riley will be serving as a mentor to her during this time.

The Last of Us was released on June 14, 2013 and follows the story of Joel who is on a journey across a post-apocalyptic United States in 2033 to escort Ellie to a resistance group known as the Fireflies.

This group believes that Ellie could be the key to creating a cure for an infection that has turned the world into a living hell. Joel's job is to defend Ellie from zombie-like creatures who have been infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus as well as hostile humans including cannibals and bandits.

The player uses firearms and stealth to combat these threats and complete the mission laid out before them.

The Last of Us was developed by Naughty Dog and is an official Sony exclusive. It received widespread critical acclaim for its voice acting, sound design and level design. It is also considered one of the most significant titles in the seventh generation video game era.
